- I've been playing drums for over 30 years (!). My interests are drum kit and hand percussion including Conga's and Djembe (on which I consider myself a beginner).
I have toured extensively across the UK and recorded three albums.
After a short break (enforced by fatherhood) I am now beginning to play a lot more, reforming a previous 80's indi band and getting into Jazz.
- Been to a Drum Jam Event, tell us about it:
- As Sales and Marketing Manager for Drum Jam I spend most of my days office bound or meeting potential clients. Occassionally Somesh lets me strut my stuff on a DJ event which for me generally means playing Agogo bells and smiling lot (letting the proper dummers take centre stage).
Every Drum Jam event is different and each and every event is inspiring, rejuvenating and of course fantastic fun.
- Favorite Music:
- I love all music from the sixties right through to the present day. Favourite artists include Tom Waits, Steeley Dan, REM, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Nirvana, The Clash, Crowded House, Radio Head, Cold Play and more recently Snow Patrol, Rufus Wainwright and too many more to mention.
- Favorite Type of Drum:
- Drum Workshop and Sonor for kits, Zildjian and Sabian for Cymbals. LP Congas and Yaw's Djembe!
